4 weeks

I can't believe it, but Taylor is 4 weeks old today! I gave birth 4 weeks ago today! Isn't that crazy? Taylor is doing well but his personality has changed a bit over these 4 weeks. He's not as content as he was the first two weeks. It seems like when he's awake he's happy for very short periods of time before becoming quite fussy. He definitely prefers to be held. And thank the Lord for the pacifier!!! It's been a huge lifesaver.

He's growing before my eyes! I'd love to have him weighed because I'm so curious how much he's gained the last couple weeks. He's grown out of several outfits and he feels heavier to me. I think his face looks fuller too.

He's spitting up a lot and I'm wondering about acid reflux and if we can get him on some meds or something. I don't blame him for being fussy. I'd be cranky too if I was throwing up after every meal! He is keeping something down, however, because he continues to have wet and poopy diapers and is growing.

Despite the challenges I've mentioned, he is so precious and I'm absolutely in love with him. I'm so thankful for our healthy, beautiful baby boy. It's amazing how much we love him and can't imagine life without him now.

We've really been working on potty training with Lily. It's been quite an adventure. She is so stubborn! She's wearing her big girl underwear most of the time now. But she does NOT like going on the potty. She holds it as long as she possibly can. She never tells us when she needs to go so we have to watch for signs that she needs to use the potty. She starts to do a little bit of a dance or sits down and doesn't want to stand up. And even as she sits on the potty she continues to dance and says, "I don't have to go potty." She's had several successes over the past few days and she always seems really proud of herself afterward. We're using a reward idea that some friends of ours used - 2 M&Ms for peepee and 3 M&Ms for poopoo. But it isn't enough motivation to want to use the potty. I know she'll get it figured out and this will seems like a distant memory. My main concern is not wanting her to get sick from holding it so long. So pray for Lily please. And pray for her parents too! Pray we'll be patient and know the best ways to encourage her.

A BIG yawn!!! :)

oh he is too cute. :)
about the spider- i found out just by searching online "texas spiders" through google and looking at pictures of tons of spiders -blech...until I found one that resembled the one I took a pic of. I still see that image in my head as I drift off to sleep at night- awful.
