Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by
MckMama. You can head over to
her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
For starters, our Pastor is
not doing the most wonderful sermon series on the book of Ruth. Yesterday's sermon was
not awesome, and I did
not say "AMEN" aloud numerous times! His sermons are
not available online and I will
not post this latest inspired installment when it becomes available.
You should definitely
not listen to it at your earliest convenience! You would
not be edified, enlightened, or encouraged by the story of Ruth. Trust me on this!
No.Way.
This week I did
not get my first ever Seaweed Wrap at a local salon and spa. Two dear girlfriends did not
bless my socks off with a gift card to said salon and spa after Taylor was born! And I did not
FINALLY use it 8 months later.
It was
not a wonderful experience,
nor relaxing. It also did
not require me to be completely nude,
nor did I find that the least bit liberating! My nose did
not begin to itch whilst my arms were wrapped tightly next to me! Despite the annoying itch which did
not happen, I did
not thoroughly enjoy my wrap experience.
Not me!
I did
not purchase SIX pairs of shoes this week including two dress pairs (silver and black), two casual pairs (both brown) and two pairs of flip flops (tan and
pink)!
IMPOSSIBLE! And I am
not a little bit embarrassed to admit it.
Ebates was
not having Shoe Week and I did
not take full advantage of my cash back opportunity and big sales to totally overhaul my shoe wardrobe. I did
not then go through my closet and find several pairs that had served me well and donate them to Goodwill.
Nope!
I do
not heart shoes. And I do not enjoy the fact that they always fit even when my clothes do
not!
Not me!
I did
not go to Old Navy with a $10 off coupon fully intending to purchase a t-shirt for myself, and then use the aforementioned coupon to purchase something for Lily instead. This does
not happen to me all the time!
I do
not enjoy shopping for my kids. And I know my fellow moms could
never understand!
And finally, in all seriousness, my period has
truly not arrived. And I truly have not taken any more pregnancy tests. Truly. (A little much with the trulies???) Because my guess is that since I'm still nursing, that first period was a fluke. And I may not get another one for awhile. And that'd be just fine with me.
Because this extended vacation from feminine napkins, bloating, cramping and irritability has
not been nice. Not even a little bit. Not even at all.
