Swimming Lessons

Lily started swimming lessons last week. It's a two week class MTWTh mornings for a half hour. She is really liking it and I am so relieved! She and I took that Mommy and Me class this past winter and while she enjoyed it, she expected me to hold onto her tightly! So I was a little nervous about how it would go being in the water alone.

She isn't always willing to do everything they ask her to, but she has come so far in just a few days and is already quite a bit more comfortable in the water.

The first day I dropped her off with her teacher and then had to go upstairs to watch from the balcony. I can't tell you the sadness I felt! I wanted to be in the water with her! For me it was another sign that she's growing up.

So here are a few pics from the swimming lessons experience. We're SO far away in the balcony that my little camera can't get good pictures of her. Sorry!

Waiting for the lesson to start. Doesn't she look likes she's seven or something???

She's in the middle, in the orange life jacket
They just started wearing the jackets yesterday and spending time in the deeper water

Taylor watching from the balcony

He's so close to walking!

A little video. L is the one in the blue swimsuit with white flowers and a lavender bow in her hair.
