I've talked about my parents a lot because they are two of the most amazing people that I know. My mom is one of my best friends and has been an incredible support system for me my whole life. And I can guarantee that I would not have made the adjustment to motherhood quite as easily without her. She has been up here almost once a week since Lily was born to visit, snuggle with my babies, have lunch with us, let me take a nap, let me run errands, chat about anything and everything, listen, hug us, play with the kids, and just generally be a breath of fresh air around here. SHE IS A BLESSING! And I am so blessed that she is my mother! And my kids are so blessed that she is their grandmother.
A couple things you might not know about her: she loves Old Dutch potato chips, she has celiac disease (allergy to gluten which is in wheat, oats, barley and rye), she actually likes doing laundry, she loves to shop, she makes her bed every morning (I do not), and she is an incredibly talented pianist.
She and my dad lived in South Dakota when my sister and I were born, and her whole family was back here in Minnesota. Mandi and I were 21 months apart and so we had a busy mama! She tells me that she remembers feeling alone those days and doesn't want me to feel the way that she did as a young mommy. She is incredibly thoughtful and such a servant.
Here are a few pics of my mom. There were lots to choose from and it was hard to select just a few! Enjoy!
