Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Lily and I saw Disney on Ice and tears did not come to my eyes as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto took to the ice in their opening number!

I did not feel emotional or wish to fly back to Disney World immediately. I did not watch them skate and think to myself, "I've missed you guys." Nope. And I'd never admit to something like that either.

On Friday morning when my husband offered to go to the grocery store for me I did NOT almost say no! Can you imagine??? I definitely did not almost miss an opportunity to be home alone with the baby out of my silly fear that my darling hubby might not grocery shop exactly the way that I would. That'd be utterly ridiculous!

I am not a control freak and he did not have to convince me that he could handle it. Seriously. He also did not do a great job and I did not therefore eat humble pie.

I did not plan baby shower games and show up at said shower with my son, diaper bag, purse, stroller, gift, muffins, flowers, and prizes but NOT the games. I for sure would never have left them in plain site on the kitchen counter. Not me!

Feeling a little sheepish and maybe slightly panicky I did not then call my husband repeatedly to ask him to stop by the house after Lily's swimming lesson and would he be so kind as to grab the games off the counter and bring them to the baby shower AS SOON AS POSSIBLE??? I've said this before, but I've got my ducks in a row and things like this just don't happen to me. Nope!
