Houston, we have a problem

Taylor is really good at putting himself to sleep. And by that I mean that I lay him in his crib with his pacifier and he falls asleep. It's a routine that's been working well for all parties involved. Until yesterday.

My baby has learned how to go from laying down to sitting up all by himself.

I laid him down for nap just the way I always do. And it was quiet for a few minutes. And then I heard talking. And I peeked in his room to see this

and this

Oh boy. We're entering a whole new phase! And I clearly remember Lily going through this exact same thing at the same age - 8 months! It's like they figure out that they don't have to just lay there, so they don't!

So in the afternoon I laid Taylor down for another nap. It was quiet for a few minutes. And then I heard jabbering. And I walked into his room to see this

and this
Houston, we have a problem! It's time to lower the mattress!

Tonight he was tuckered out and fell asleep while Andy fed him his bedtime bottle. So precious.

His wonderful, chubby little hand

And his sweet little feet next to Daddy's big foot
It boggles the mind to think that his feet will be just as big someday!
I think the real problem is that he's growing up way too fast.

Sweet pictures! And isn't it amazing how fast they change?! I couldn't believe once Pip came how grown up Belle seemed, even though she was still a baby!
